SAN QUENTIN – Administrators at San Quentin State Prison (SQ) have restored visiting and will restore normal showering for inmates in their housing units as of tomorrow, Sept. 4.
Inmates in Condemned Row received normal visiting hours today and general population inmate visiting will resume this weekend.
Kitchen operations for preparing inmate meals are expected to resume early next week. In the interim, inmates will continue to receive two cold meals and one hot evening meal.
As of Sept. 3, there are seven confirmed cases of inmates, and no confirmed cases of staff, with Legionnaires’ disease.
Hot evening meals have resumed for inmates and all general population and reception center inmates have received showers.
