Offender Walks Away from Minimum-Support Facility at Pleasant Valley State Prison

COALINGA— California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) officials are looking for a state prison inmate who walked away from the minimum-support facility at Pleasant Valley State Prison (PVSP) on Monday, Dec. 19.

Minimum-security inmate Brian Dill, 33, was reported missing during an institutional count at 12 p.m. Dec. 19.

Notification was immediately made to local law enforcement agencies. Within minutes, agents from CDCR’s Office of Correctional Safety were dispatched to locate and apprehend Dill. PVSP’s Investigative Services Unit, Crisis Response Team, local law enforcement agencies and the California Highway Patrol have been notified to assist in the search for Dill.

Dill is a white male, bald with green eyes. He is 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighs 180 pounds.

He was admitted to CDCR on June 29, 2012, from San Luis Obispo County to serve a two-year, eight-month sentence for vandalism, possession of a firearm by a felon or addict, DUI, possession of a controlled substance while armed and making criminal threats.

Anyone who sees Dill or has any knowledge of his whereabouts should immediately contact law enforcement or call 911.

Since 1977, 99 percent of all offenders who have left an adult institution, camp or community-based program without permission have been apprehended.
